02 Ram 5.9 or 03 Hemi?

I am comparing two trucks, one is a 2002 ram qc slt with the 5.9 360, the other is a 2003 ram qc slt with 5.7 hemi. I already know the hemi will get better gas mileage, how much better can i expect? What are the pros and cons of each motor? Which has a better transmission? Which truck will be more dependible?
