can i keep a red cap oranda gold fish in a 10 gallon?

ive wanted one for years but the lfs has only sold feeder goldfish and they had a bad manager but now my petco has a new manager and fancy goldfish. i would really love one but i want whats best for the fish not to be selfish. it is already cycled and not getting another tank soon. thanks for all your answers:)

if your not going to get a larger tank soon, then you should pass on fancy goldfish.

red caps will get about 14 inches and very "wide" so they will not grow fully in a 10 gallon,

a 55 gallon with a canister will be suitable for 2 red caps.

But if your not going to get another tank ..larger.. then goldfish arent suitable for 10 gallons.
