The friendly yet "private" feel of the club is undoubtedly a testament to the vision of its original founder, the late David Leader, a journalist whose successful career in publishing enabled him to fulfill a life ling dream of owning his own golf club.

Leader made this club a sought after destination for visiting 'pay as you play` golfers. His friendly open door policy has established Estepona as one of the most popular courses on the Costa del Sol. The club is family run and employs the kind of staff that makes everyone feel like welcome friends. Just one reason why players return time and time again over the years.

Designed by Jose Luis Lopez and opened in 1989, this 18 hole course is on the inland side of the main coast road at 150km between Marbella and La Duquesa (just minutes from Estepona town).

With the Sierra Bermeja mountain range behind it, the course overlooks the coast and many of the holes have great views of the Mediterranean. Designed in harmony with natural surroundings, the course has an abundance of greenery including palms, eucalyptus and ancient olive trees. Players also enjoy the resident wildlife, particularly on the second half of the course.

It is probably worth hiring one of the 40 new golf carts to get around the course as it is quite hilly. Greens are ample and the fairways tend to be wide, but the course isn't as easy as expected. Jose Luis Lopez has created a layout that is well balanced: it's challenging, with plenty of water hazards, but not so challenging that it detracts from the pleasure of playing a round here. Holiday visitors, as well as regular or advanced golfers, enjoy playing here.

One of the outstanding holes is the par 5 third. Called `the ski run`, it slopes down over the multiple terraced fairway to the green below. A few holes feature quite marked differences in height, something to be aware of. Overall, though, it's a fair course that strikes a good balance of holes of varying distances, with the longer par fives being reachable in two by long hitters.

Estepona Golf Course has built up a loyal following over the years and many first time visitors have been referred by friends. The staff work hard to maintain the club's family friendly reputation and Estepona Golf's seasonal newsletter is full of updates, pro tips, special offers and news about course upgrades.

After a round, head for the clubhouse bar and restaurant to enjoy the sea and mountain views whilst re-living a few of the holes. It is very relaxing clubhouse to spend time relaxing and enjoying a fantastic menu.

  The secret to menu access is to remember that by touching the video playing portion of the screen you bring up the menu. If you tap outside of the video area you adjust the screen.

  This is one of the best car DVD players we've tested, but more surprisingly the user manual is great too. We're sure you'll find it very helpful.
• Can this car multimedia system support USB drives and SD cards greater than 2GB?
  In our tests, we loaded media onto a 4 GB USB thumb drive and connected it to the car DVD player using a mini SD / female USB extension cable. The unit didn't have any trouble accessing the files. We also loaded media onto a 4 GB microSD, put that into an SD card adapter, inserted that into an SD card reader and connected the whole assembly to a mini SD / female USB extension cable. No problems there. We also inserted a 8 GB SD card into the SD media card slot and this also went smoothly.

where and how does the ignition coil get its signal from on a kawasaki 750 jst ski?

i have a 93 kawasaki 750xiss waverunner.it will crank over but i have no spark at plugs.how can i check to see if everything is working ok?i took the front end apart by the stator and cleaned up the oil and sensor up front.what is the 30amp fuse in the box inside the red wires for?thanks matt

Check the simple stuff first like new plugs and missing or broken ground wires. The battery, electrical case and engine all have to be grounded to work. Also check your wiring on the bars for a broken kill switch wire. Check for burned or bare wires in the engine compartment. The fuse you see should be for the regulator. Change it if it's bad.

Your ignition system uses a generator with a trigger coil. Voltage and the triggering signal go to the igniter then to the secondary coils and to the plugs. Any of those items could be bad, or wiring or switches.

When was the last time it worked and what happened when it quit working? Did it get flooded? Was it just worked on? Did it overheat?

Testing the system is similar to any dirt bike or Jet Ski but I don't have a manual for yours. You can test the generating and trigger coil with an ohm and volt meter. The igniter is a whole other matter. Sometimes it's cheaper to take to a dealer as there are no returns on electrical parts. Flatrate is .9 hours to test and repair the ignition system.
