does a turbo charger have to hook directly to the exhaust header?? or can you run a pipe to connect the two.
Remember that heat = pressure, so the less chance you give the exhaust to cool down the more force you have. Also putting it as close as you can to the exhaust valves means it will perform more consistently.
If you're rolling your own, I would put the turbo at the collector (where all the individual pipes come together) and try to get the collector as close to the valves as possible.
