I think it's awesome. I really like the way retro vehicles look. Scooters like the Honda Metropolitan and the Vespa GVS 250 look like classic scooters from days gone by.

Around the beginning of the 20th century, scooters made there way to the market in Europe. They resembled what we think of as a moped in today's world. Where the clutch engages through the lever travel is Purely a function of cable legnth. Keep adjusting it (you know there's a Fine adjustment at the lever, and a Gross ~ big movement ~ adjustment at the other end), and don't worry about how much free play the lever has once you've found your sweet spot.

A "Bad Clutch" would be one that doesn't engage fully, i.e. it Slips. You'd know if that were the case as the bike would rev easily, but you wouldn't speed up as normal.
